Tasting Notes

A proprietary blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Petite Sirah.  The 2011 Writer’s Block is amazingly aromatic with ripe blackberry, black raspberry, dark cherry, crushed rocks and dusty creme de cassis.  Notes of dried wild flowers, white pepper, cinnamon and mocha add further dimension to the aromatic expression.  On the palate, this wine is rich and expansive with the Syrah shining through showing its varietal savory, mouthwatering spice.  The Cabernet Sauvignon gives classic flavors of spicy plum and mouth filling blue and black fruits to this delicious wine.
